The game features seven gameplay modes: five single-player modes and two two-player modes. Just a few thoughts I had when compare the two titles side by side. Bloody Roar offers fast and fluid fighting action and animations, incredible attack moves and special effects, and dynamic lighting. That being said what redeems Bloody roar 4 is the versatility in the modes (though there is some overlap), specifically career that allows you to create the custom fighters you do desire.

If only the minds behind this game actually sat down and figured out how to implement the gimmick properly, it could have the makings of something great. It has a decent gimmick to make it stand out among other fighters.

While appreciated a fresh look, especially when it came to alice, her zoanthrope transformation just seemed somewhat off. It’s sad to watch as the Bloody Roar series goes to hell. Some character redesigns were not great noticeably Alice, Yugo & Jenny. It is funny at times and you can still piece together the story from it without any issues. Description: Original score for Bloody Roar 3 (developed by Eighting / Raizing and published by Hudson for Arcade and PlayStation). While the music is still good for me personally it failed to capture the intensity of 3 (again only comparing the playstation 2 titles at this point). I had hoped that Bloody Roar 4 would capture some of the same magic but alas. Hearing 'Bloody Roar 3' followed up by the intense rock theme really got me in the mood for some beat-em-up action. While Bloody Roar 3 was relatively bare-bones both in terms of story as well as playable features, one thing that I personally think it did extremely well, and has me revisiting the game over and over is the music, the start screen, and the general sound effects. While I know and more or less agree that Bloody Roar 1 & 2 are close to the peak of the series I recently wanted to compare the PlayStation 2 entries as I have been playing them side by side.
